Blood Sugar & Diabetes

Halting the decline

The disease you can reverse

Millions of people have diabetes in the U.S. Many don’t know they have it! The numbers climb even higher for prediabetes, and many of those who have it develop Type 2 diabetes within 5 years.

Diabetics have a higher risk of blindness, kidney failure, heart disease, stroke, loss of toes, feet, or legs, and death.

Diabetes and prediabetes can be treated and even reversed!

Risk factors for Type 2 Diabetes:

  • Overweight
  • Family history
  • Gestational diabetes
  • Physical inactivity
  • Age 45 and older
  • Poor sleep
  • Smoking
  • Excess alcohol

However, even those with high risk factors can beat the odds!

Blood Sugar Imbalances

Hypoglycemia (low blood sugar):

Hyperglycemia (high blood sugar):

Both can stress out your adrenals and lead to problems. It would be wise to check your blood sugar on a regular basis. A 12-hour fasting glucose test is helpful, but it only shows your blood sugar at one moment in time. A more useful lab marker is Hemoglobin A1c, which tells us how your blood sugar is doing over a three-month period. That provides a more accurate diagnosis for diabetes and prediabetes.

Most blood sugar conditions can be successfully treated with specific food programs, individualized supplementation, and lifestyle recommendations.
